Every Map Tells a Story

A "Storyteller" is a style of ceramic sculpture made in certain pueblo cultures in the American Southwest. It usually features a large clay figure of a grandmother or grandfather type, with open mouth, with many small figures gathered around or sitting on top of the "Storyteller." The book on Pueblo Storytellers for Indian Art collectors needed to place the artists in context, therefore needed a map that harmonized with the subject.
