Description
This 24 x 36 inch (61 x 91 cm) poster is exquisitely printed on cover weight paper using offset lithography with full color and matte and gloss varnishes. From a distance, it is a spiral Sonoran Desert mandala, made from objects—both natural and human-made—collected over a matter of years, scanned and arranged. As it draws a viewer closer, one sees that the background texture is made from excepts from Byrd Baylor’s books on the desert. Designed by Paul Mirocha, this poster educates and inspires respect and love for the Sonoran Desert landscape, while honoring beloved author Byrd Baylor for her 91st birthday in 2015.
